Friday, January 19, 2018 - Saturday, January 20, 2018 Louis Hayes presents a tribute to Horace Silver, the bandleader who first introduced him to the jazz world through recordings with Blue Note Records.
Before drummer Louis Hayes went on to play with jazz greats such as Dizzy Gillespie and George Benson, he was an 18-year-old playing in the quintet of legendary pianist and composer Horace Silver. Hayes presents music from his 2017 Blue Note album "Serenade for Silver"", a tribute to the bandleader who first introduced him to the jazz world through recordings with Blue Note Records.
